Permission & Leave Requests

Every university has a process for excusing a student from class, chapel, or hostel curfew — a medical appointment, a family event, official travel. Traditionally that process runs on paper slips, signed and countersigned, easy to lose and impossible to search later.

Attenova replaces the slip with a request the student submits from their phone. Depending on what the request is for, it's routed to the relevant approver — a lecturer, a hostel manager, or an admin — who can approve or decline it from their own dashboard. The decision and its record stay attached to the student's account.

The Challenge

Paper-based permission processes create no searchable record. A hostel manager or lecturer has no easy way to confirm whether a student's absence was actually approved, and students have no record of their own request once the slip is handed over.

Attenova gives students a permission request screen in the app, and gives lecturers, hostel managers, and admins a queue of pending requests in their own dashboards. Every decision is timestamped and stored, so both sides can always see the full history of what was requested and what was decided.
