The Challenge
Lecturers have always had the data problem — they know attendance matters, but compiling reliable records manually takes enormous time. End-of-semester, producing an attendance sheet for every student in every course is a day-long administrative task. The challenge was to give lecturers real-time, always-accurate attendance data without adding any work to their daily routine.

The university sets its attendance threshold (75% by default), and students below it are warned in the app. Separately, a student who misses three classes of a course in a row without an approved excuse triggers an alert to the student and the course’s lecturers.
